The aim of our specialized diet course is to ensure health improvement through correct and balanced nutrition while considering diseases, risk factors, metabolism, and your individual lifestyle.

The diet course (The Baltic Sea Diet Course), designed by Dr.N.Trofimova, is for those who feel tired, who wish to improve health condition and well-being, eliminate digestion and metabolism problems, joint pains and excessive weight.

Our diet course consists of several nutrition principles. One of them is Macrobiotics. It outlines the limitation of food intake or transition to a healthier, often vegetable-based diet. The roots of macrobiotics go back to ancient Greece and in translation mean “long or successful life”. The same principle concerns food products, which are “healthy” and “good” when they have preserved their natural energy.

According to the science of macrobiotics, the main problem with our everyday food is shortage of energy. We often eat energy-deficient food in big quantities. It accumulates and exhausts both our body and soul, resulting in illnesses and premature aging. Macrobiotics does not exclude animal products, however it is important to know the compatibility between the products, their proper cooking methods, and quantity. We will teach you how to choose and prepare your food carefully according to certain basic principles.

The other component of our specialized diet is the Glycemic Index (GI) principle, which is based on the guideline of keeping the blood sugar at a constant level. When blood sugar levels rise, then a hormone called insulin gets produced – its purpose is to quickly reduce the levels of blood sugar. Fast increase of blood sugar is however followed by a fast decrease, what in turn causes lack of energy, fatigue and sleepiness. It is therefore very important and beneficial to balance the level of blood sugar throughout the day. When blood sugar levels are balanced, the weight loss follows. It is quite common to lose 1-2 kg of weight during the first week of GI diet, which seems to be making it a popular method for losing weight.

Our diet is not a temporary weight reduction tool, but rather a nutrition lifestyle. Following our course for the week of your stay with us will boost your energy, reduce your weight, improve your well-being, but most importantly – give you the tools to a healthier lifestyle when you are back at home.
